Whether you use the website www.juisci.com (the "Website") and/or the application Juisci (the "Application") as our client (the “Client”), we may collect personal data about you.


The purpose of this policy is to inform you about how we process your personal data in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter the "GDPR") and French Data Protection Law n° 78-17 of 6 January 1978 (together the "Applicable Regulations").


  1. Who is the data controller?

The data controller is JUISCI, French société par actions simplifiée, registered with the Registry of Trade and Companies of Nanterre under the number 894 416 544 and whose head office is located at 22 TER, boulevard du Général Leclerc, 92200, Neuilly-sur- Seine, France (“Us” or “We”) when browsing on our Website or when using your account on our Application/Website as our Client (the « Account »).


This Policy does not apply to the processing of personal data for which Juisci acts as a data processor. For the processing of personal data relating to your customers or prospects, and which you may entrust to us in connection with the use of our services, you act as the controller and we act as the processor within the meaning of the GDPR. It is therefore your responsibility to ensure compliance with the information and rights of the persons concerned and, more generally, with the applicable regulations.


If your personal data is processed by one of our clients, please refer to their privacy policy or other information they have provided to you regarding the data processing carried out.


  1. What personal data we collect?

Personal data is a data that identifies an individual directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name.

We may collect the following personal data:

  • Identification data (e.g. full name, email address, birth date);
  • Data relating to your professional life (e.g., company name, position/function, medical specialty);
  • Data relating to your interests (e.g., specific interests in our variety of content);
  • Login data (e.g., logs, IP address);
  • If you choose to sign in using a third-party authentication service (e.g., Google or Apple), certain data such as your name and email may be collected from that service. By choosing this method, you agree that the service may share this information with us. We do not collect your third-party account password;
  • Browsing data (IP address, pages viewed, date and time of connection, browser used, operating system, user ID, MAID, user behavior (mouse tracking));
  • Data relating to your use of the Application (e.g., content posted or created, including photos, videos, audio recordings, comments, hashtags, reviews, ratings, and associated metadata (such as date, location and author of the content));
  • Any information you wish to send us as part of your contact request.


We inform you, when collecting your personal data, whether some of these data are mandatory or optional.

  4. If applicable: public and private organizations, exclusively to comply with our legal obligations.


  1. Are your personal data likely to be transferred outside the European Union?

Your personal data is hosted for the duration of the processing on the servers of the companies Google Cloud Platform and MangoDB, located in Germany.


As part of the tools, we use (see article on the recipients of your personal data, especially our processors), your personal data may be transferred outside the European Union. The transfer of your personal data in this context is secured with the use of following safeguards:

  • Either personal data are transferred to a country that has been recognized as ensuring an adequate level of protection by a decision of the European Commission, in accordance with article 45 of the GDPR: in this case, this country ensures a level of protection deemed sufficient and adequate to the provisions of the GDPR; or
  • The personal data are transferred to a country whose level of data protection has not been recognized as adequate to the GDPR: in this case these transfers are based on appropriate safeguards indicated in article 46 of the GDPR, adapted to each provider, including but not limited the execution of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, the application of Binding Corporate Rules or an approved certification mechanism; or 
  • The personal data are transferred under any appropriate safeguards described in Chapter V of the GDPR.


  1. What rights can you exercise on your personal data?

You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

  • Right to be informed: this is precisely why we have drafted this privacy policy as defined by articles 13 and 14 of the GDPR.
  • Right of access: you have the right to access all your personal data at any time as defined by article 15 of the GDPR.
  • Right to rectification: you have the right to rectify your inaccurate, incomplete or obsolete personal data at any time as defined by article 16 of the GDPR.
  • Right to restriction of processing: you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data in certain cases defined in article 18 of the GDPR.
  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”): you have the right to request that your personal data be deleted and to prohibit any future collection as defined by article 17 of the GDPR.
  • Right to file a complaint to a competent supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL), under article 77 of the GDPR, if you consider that the processing of your personal data constitutes a breach of applicable regulations.
  • Right to define instructions related to the retention, deletion and communication of your personal data after your death.
  • Right to withdraw your consent at any time: for purposes based on consent, Article 7 of the GDPR provides that you may withdraw your consent at any time. Such withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before the withdrawal.
  • Right to data portability: under specific conditions defined in article 20 of the GDPR, you have the right to receive the personal data you have provided us in a standard machine-readable format and to require their transfer to the recipient of your choice.
  • Right to object: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data as defined by article 21 of the GDPR. Please note that we may continue to process your personal data despite this opposition for legitimate reasons or for the defense of legal claims.

We collect personal data that you provide to us when you register on the Website, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our Services, when you participate in activities on the Website and the App (such as by posting comments about available articles or discussing with your community) or otherwise when you contact us.

The personal data that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us, the Website and the App, the choices you make and the Services you use. The personal data we collect may include the following:

Personal Information Provided by You. We collect names; email addresses; job titles; usernames; passwords; professional information (such as your medical specialty), specific interests in our variety of content and other similar information. 

When you contribute to our App, we collect content you create or post through the App, including photos, videos, audio recordings, comments, hashtags, reviews, ratings, and associated metadata (such as date, location and author of the content).

Social Media Login Data. We may provide you with the option to register with us using your existing social media account details, like your Apple or Google account. If you choose to register in this way, we will collect the information described in the section called "HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS" below.

All personal data that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information. Otherwise, this may impair our capacity to provide you with the Services or answer your requests.

Personal data automatically collected

In Short: Some personal data — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Website and the App.

We automatically collect certain personal data when you visit, use or navigate the Website. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Website and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Website and of the App, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

  • Log and Usage Data. Log and usage data is service-related, diagnostic, usage and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our Website or the App and which we record in log files. Depending on how you interact with us, this log data may include your IP address, device information, browser type and settings and information about your activity in the Website or the App (such as the date/time stamps associated with your usage, pages and files viewed, searches and other actions you take such as which features you use), device event information (such as system activity, error reports (sometimes called 'crash dumps') and hardware settings).

We process your personal data for these purposes in reliance on our legitimate business interests, in order to enter into or perform a contract with you, with your consent, and/or for compliance with our legal obligations. We indicate the specific processing grounds we rely on next to each purpose listed below.

We use the information we collect or receive:

  • To facilitate account creation and login process. If you choose to link your account with us to a third-party account (such as your Google or Apple account), we use the information you allowed us to collect from those third parties to facilitate account creation and login process for the performance of the contract. See the section below headed "HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS" for further information. 
  • To deliver and facilitate delivery of Services to the user. We use your personal data to provide you with the Services through the App.


  • To post testimonials. We post testimonials on our App that may contain personal information. Prior to posting a testimonial, we will obtain your consent to use your name and the content of the testimonial. If you wish to update, or delete your testimonial, please contact us at [email protected] and be sure to include your name, testimonial location, and contact information.
  • Request feedback. We may use your information to request feedback and to contact you about your use of our App.
  • To enable user-to-user communications. We may use your information in order to enable user-to-user communications through the private message tool of the App.
  • To manage user accounts. We may use your information for the purposes of managing our account and keeping it in working order.
  • To send administrative information to you. We may use your personal information to send you product, service and new feature information and/or information about changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.
  • To protect our Services, the Website and the App. We may use your information as part of our efforts to keep our Services, the Website and the App safe and secure (for example, for fraud monitoring and prevention).
  • To respond to legal requests, prevent harm and manage legal issues. If we receive a subpoena or other legal request, we may need to inspect the data we hold to determine how to respond.
  • To respond to user inquiries/offer support to users. We may use your information to respond to your inquiries and solve any potential issues you might have with the use of our Services.
  • To post your content. If you decide to contribute to our App, we may use your personal information to allow you to post content and make it available to other users.

5. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?

In Short: If you choose to register or log in to our services using a social media account, we may have access to certain information about you.

Our App offers you the ability to register and login using your third-party social media account details (like your Apple or Google logins). Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from your social media provider. The profile information we receive may vary depending on the social media provider concerned, but will often include your name, email address, friends list, profile picture as well as other information you choose to make public on such social media platform.

We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this privacy notice or that are otherwise made clear to you on the App. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider. We recommend that you review their privacy notice to understand how they collect, use and share your personal information, and how you can set your privacy preferences on their sites and apps.

6. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
